A series of tests are carried out by Euro NCAP to assess crash avoidance systems:

- Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) City systems are assessed at a speed range of 10-50 km/h and Euro NCAP only evaluates the automatic braking function for low speed situations.

and/or

- AEB Inter-Urban systems at a speed range of 30-80 km/h. Euro NCAP evaluates the automatic brake function and the forward collision warning function.
